Elite Mobs ⚔️

Stronger, tougher versions of regular mobs show up throughout the world. Beat them to earn special coins, unique gear, and unlock a whole adventure system!

Quick start: You don't need to do anything special — elite mobs spawn on their own wherever you go. Kill them, collect Elite Coins and loot, then visit the Adventurer's Guild (/ag) to spend it.

Elite Mobs in the World

Elite mobs are supercharged versions of normal Minecraft mobs. They spawn naturally in all survival worlds (main world, Nether, End, Old World) alongside regular mobs. You can tell them apart by the level displayed above their heads and the health bar that appears when you hit them.

In the overworld, elite mobs get tougher as you get stronger — so they always feel like a fair fight no matter how good your gear is. Their loot and coin drops get better too.

Better armor attracts higher-level elites. The stronger your gear, the higher the level of elites that will spawn near you — which means better loot.

Power Indicators

Elite mobs float items around themselves to show which powers they have. Each floating item is a warning:

🏹 Arrow — fires arrows at nearby players
👁️ Ender Eye — blinds you on hit
🔮 Spell particles — confuses you on hit
🪣 Lava Bucket — sets you on fire on hit
💥 Fireball — fires fireballs at nearby players
🧊 Packed Ice — freezes you on hit
🪂 Elytra — makes you levitate on hit
💚 Emerald — poisons you on hit
🟫 Piston — knocks you back on hit
🏺 Totem — weakens you on hit
🕸️ Web — webs you on hit
💀 Skull — inflicts wither on hit
📦 Chest — drops bonus loot when killed

Elite Coins

Elite mobs drop Elite Coins — a separate currency from regular gold that only exists within the EliteMobs system. Coins appear as physical items on the ground when an elite dies; walk over them to pick them up.

Elite Coins are spent at the Adventurer's Guild to buy gear, repair items, and upgrade equipment. They cannot be used in the regular market (Jobs gold) and vice versa — the two economies are completely separate.

Combat Skills

EliteMobs has its own skill system separate from mcMMO. You gain skill XP by using different weapon types and wearing armor in combat. There are 9 skills:

Swords · Axes · Bows · Crossbows · Tridents · Hoes · Maces · Spears · Armor

Your Combat Level is displayed above your name and is based on the average of your top skills. As you level up, you unlock passive bonuses for each weapon type and can equip higher-tier elite gear.

Armor skill grants +1 heart (2 HP) per level above 1 — so leveling your armor skill directly increases your max health.

Gear has level requirements. You cannot equip elite items above your current skill level for the relevant weapon or armor type. This prevents rushing straight to endgame gear.

The Adventurer's Guild

Type /ag from anywhere to teleport to the Guild hub. It's a dedicated world with several NPCs, each handling a different part of the elite adventure system.
Greg — Blacksmith
Buy and sell elite items. Elite gear sold back to Greg is worth 5% of its original value, so don't sell something unless you're sure you don't need it. Greg's shop rotates stock based on your guild rank — higher ranks unlock better gear.
Kelly — Scrapper
Convert unwanted elite items into scrap. It works 3 out of 4 times — but if it fails, your item is gone for good. Scrap is used for repairing items at the Repairman.
Reggie — Repairman
Repair damaged elite items using scrap. Bring your worn-down gear here rather than throwing it away — repairs are cheaper than replacing items outright.
Gillian — Guild Attendant
Manage your guild rank and track quests. Advancing guild ranks increases your max health and unlocks access to better gear from the Blacksmith.
Charles — Combat Instructor
Check your combat level and get tips on how the elite combat system works.

The Gambling Den

Also inside the Adventurer's Guild, you'll find a small casino run by The Baron. Talk to him to get an overview, or walk up to any of his four dealers to start playing. All bets are placed with Elite Coins — the same coins you earn from fighting elite mobs.
Vincent — Blackjack
Try to get your cards as close to 21 as possible without going over. Hit to draw another card, or stand to keep what you have. Getting exactly 21 on your first two cards is a Blackjack and pays out more than a normal win.
Lucky Pete — Coin Flip
Pick Heads or Tails — pure 50/50 luck. There's also a very rare 1-in-100 chance the coin lands on its edge, which pays out 5 times your bet.
Spinner Sam — Slot Machine
Spin the reels and try to match symbols. Matching three of the same symbol wins big; matching two gets a small amount back. Sevens are the rarest and pay the most.
Ace Morgan — Higher or Lower
A card is revealed and you guess whether the next one is higher or lower. Each correct guess multiplies your winnings by 1.3×. You can cash out at any time, but one wrong guess and you lose it all — so know when to stop!
Watch out for the Debt Collector!
If you run out of Elite Coins mid-bet, you'll go into debt. A tough Vindicator called The Debt Collector will come looking for you at the Guild — he's fast, hits hard, and knocks you around. He despawns after 10 minutes if you avoid him, but he'll be back.

The easiest way to clear debt is to keep earning Elite Coins — they'll automatically go toward paying it off as you pick them up. The minimum bet is 10 coins, so make sure you have enough before you play!

Enchanting Elite Items

Elite items can be upgraded through the enchantment system at the Guild. The most exciting method is the Enchantment Challenge: you fight a boss to earn the upgrade.

If you win, your item gets enchanted. If you lose, there's a 10% chance you lose the item entirely. Leaving the arena counts as losing — so don't bail mid-fight unless you're okay gambling the item.
Before accepting an Enchantment Challenge: Make sure the item is worth risking. A failed challenge on a rare drop can mean losing it permanently.
