Getting Started 🌱

Just joined the server? Here's everything you need to know to get going. Don't worry — it's a lot friendlier than it looks!

PvP is turned off everywhere. Nobody can hurt you — not other players, not accidentally, not on purpose. This is a build-and-explore server. The only danger is the normal Minecraft kind (mobs, falling, lava).

Your First Few Minutes

1
Pick a job (or three!)
You start with zero in-game gold, and you earn it by doing things in the world. Type /jobs browse to see all the options, then /jobs join <name> to sign up. You can hold up to 3 jobs at once — pick ones that match what you already enjoy doing.

Not sure where to start? Miner and Woodcutter are great early picks. Check the Jobs guide to see what everything pays.
2
Set a home so you can always get back
Find a spot you like and type /sethome. Any time you want to return, just type /home. You can reset it whenever you like — just stand somewhere new and /sethome again.
3
Protect your builds
Before you build anything important, claim the land so nobody can break or take your stuff. You start with 100 claim blocks and earn more just by playing (about 100 per hour, up to 2,000). Hold a golden shovel and right-click two opposite corners of the area you want to protect.

To see if land is already claimed, right-click with a regular stick. The Land Claims guide has everything else.
4
Visit the market
Once you've earned some gold, type /warp market to teleport to the market area near spawn. You can buy all kinds of things there — tools, materials, food, and more. A diamond pickaxe costs 750g — it'll take real effort to save up for, but it's worth it. Work your way up to it!

When You Die

When you die, your items drop on the ground right where you died. They don't disappear right away — you have time to run back and grab them. The moment you respawn, type /back and you'll teleport straight to your death spot to recover your stuff.

Nobody else can pick up your dropped items (the server protects them for you), so don't panic! Just use /back and go collect them.
What about experience? XP drops when you die too, but you'll earn it back fast. Your skill levels (Mining, Fishing, etc.) are permanent — those never go away when you die.
